<Page social="0">Blightwood was the site where Shakan slew Lok during the Divine War. Lok's blood tainted the forest and unleashed countless angry spirits.

The Mysterium constructed an amelioration agent that you used to push back the desolation.

You recovered Thulsa's Bracelet—a relic that could amplify Lok's energy—from the dread wraith, Gaist, but you could not use it without the power of Shakan.</Page>

<Page social="5">Before the Divine War, Blightwood was a realm of haunting beauty. Then Shakan slew Lok and destroyed the ancient forest.

The Mysterium has a plan to reverse the damage, but they need your aid. Speak with Gwahre in Tria. He's a cranky priest, but brilliant.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="3" huntingZoneId="70" prevId="2" villagerId="1027">
<Page social="5">It's about bloody time! I suppose Raeren thinks we can just wait for the heat death of the universe!

Now, how best to put you to use. Do you know much about the history of Blightwood? Any of it?<NEXTPAGEBUTTON>"I know a little of it."</NEXTPAGEBUTTON></Page>
<Page social="5">When Shakan tore Lok apart, Lok's flesh and blood tainted the woods.

The Mysterium has studied it extensively, and we believe we have a solution, but it requires the assistance of soldiers.<NEXTPAGEBUTTON>"How can I help?"</NEXTPAGEBUTTON></Page>
<Page social="5">Our researchers are trying to purify the forest, but the {@LinkCreature:28#1021#thorny timberwolves} attack constantly. They weren't always so aggressive, but like most things hereabouts, they've been contaminated.

Hunt them so the arcanists can continue their work.

And hurry back. There's much to be done.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="4" huntingZoneId="70" prevId="3" villagerId="1027">
<Page social="5">Excellent work. That's one problem dealt with. But the bites of the wolves tend to infect, and there are many victims. Please go to {@LinkCreature:228#1001#Camp Zakai} and see Mysterium Inquisitor Anarie.

The road to the camp is overrun by {@LinkCreature:28#2011#smokepaw timberwolves}, which have been exposed to even a stronger source of contamination than the thorny timberwolves. I believe their teeth can be used to create a cure for the sick workers.

Please, eliminate the {@LinkCreature:28#2011#smokepaw timberwolves} and take their teeth to Anarie.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="5" huntingZoneId="228" prevId="4" villagerId="1001">
<Page social="4">Gwahre's consideration is appreciated, as are your efforts. The potions I make with these are surprisingly effective in staving off infection.

I have a batch ready now. Take it to Lasiren at the Garbi Outpost. It's desperately needed!</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="6" huntingZoneId="228" villagerId="1001">
<Page social="0">I could brew up more of the potion, but not without more fangs from the smokepaw timberwolves. If I can't keep the workers safe, my mission will be a failure.

Do you think you could fetch some?</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="7" huntingZoneId="228" prevId="5" villagerId="1014">
<Page social="5">Anarie's remedy is much appreciated, and so is her kindness. One might think the contamination would diminish over time, but the opposite seems to be true.

In fact, more and more of our workers grow ill, and now the purifiers have stopped functioning.<NEXTPAGEBUTTON>"Is there some way to help?"</NEXTPAGEBUTTON></Page>
<Page social="5">The only way is to restart the purifiers. First, though, you'll need to kill the {@LinkCreature:28#3051#tainted jalmaraks} to the south. When you've cleared them out, restart the devices. They should start making a difference soon afterward.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="8" huntingZoneId="228" prevId="7" villagerId="1014">
<Page social="5">I've another task for you.

When the contamination kills someone here, they often return as a wraith. Since those slain by wraiths also return as wraiths, every battle weakens us and strengthens them. The oldest and most powerful wraith is {@LinkCreature:28#6000#Gaist}. If Gaist were slain, we might be able to break the cycle.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="9" huntingZoneId="228" prevId="8" villagerId="1014">
<Page social="5">You recovered this bracelet from Gaist?

It surges with necromantic energy. Take it to Gwahre in Tria. He's well-versed in such matters—he'll know how best to proceed.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="10" huntingZoneId="228" villagerId="1014">
<Page social="0">If we don't put an end to Gaist, the wraiths will eventually overwhelm us. Too many lives depend on this battle, <PCNAME>. You must slay him.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="11" huntingZoneId="70" prevId="9" villagerId="1027">
<Page social="5">The very touch of this bracelet sickens me. It's not of Lok—more likely Thulsa's dark claws are behind it.

We could turn this power back on the wraiths and destroy them for good, but we'd need another god's power to add to it.

Erlon, in the Timeless Woods, is enormously erudite about such matters.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="12" huntingZoneId="229" prevId="11" villagerId="1010">
<Page social="5">Gwahre's talking about a necromantic amplifier. Interesting. The simplest solution would be to counter Lok's energy. Shakan's power would do nicely, as it was the Beastlord who killed Lok.

Find Taleron at Dorana Outpost. He knows most about Shakan. He may even have an artifact in his possession.

Move quickly, <PCNAME>. That bracelet is like a beacon to dark forces.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="13" huntingZoneId="229" prevId="12" villagerId="1012">
<Page social="5">There is a simple method to do what you ask, but also a complication. Shakan's altar has the requisite power, but it's in the hands of shurians.

If you want to use the altar, you'll have to kill {@LinkCreature:29#7022#Artania} and {@LinkCreature:29#7021#Limcadus}. That should prove your worth to the Beastlord.

When that's done, place the bracelet on the altar and wait. If you're worthy, something will happen.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="14" huntingZoneId="229" prevId="13" villagerId="1024">
<Page social="5">(You feel the rumblings of a growl inching up your spine, though the forest remains silent. The bracelet grows dull, then crumbles into dust.)</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="15" huntingZoneId="229" prevId="14" villagerId="1012">
<Page social="5">It worked? Splendid. Shakan bore Thulsa no love, so this offering must have pleased him.

Let Gwahre know that you've dealt with this problem and give the cranky priest my regards.</Page>
</Text>
<Text id="16" huntingZoneId="70" prevId="15" villagerId="1027">
<Page social="5">You destroyed it? That bracelet was a divine relic! We could have uncovered countless secrets! Bah!

Well, what's done is done. To rid the region of wraiths was likely worth it. You've served us well, <PCNAME>. The Mysterium owes you a debt of gratitude.</Page>
